Do’s and Don’ts for back pain

Around 80% of people get back pain at least once in their life. Here is a list of do’s and don’ts for preventing back pain:

  • Do get a good mattress for yourself: Back pain is commonly caused by not having the right mattress to support your back. A firmer mattress is typically better at supporting your back then a softer mattress.
  • Don’t sit with bad posture: Sitting with bad posture can cause back pain. When you sit, keep your back straight, your knees bent, and your feet flat on the floor to prevent pain.
  • Do stretch: Stretching helps to prevent back pain from occurring. It is recommended that you stretch when you wake up in the morning and before you do any exercising or activities.
