Cervical Myelopathy: Snug Spinal Cord

You might want to be snug as a bug but you don’t want your spinal cord to be snug. With cervical myelopathy, the spinal cord is compressed which can cause problems with fine motor skills, pain, and difficulty walking. To rectify this, I’m going to perform an anterior discectomy and fusion from C3-4 to C6-7 to open it up and take pressure off the spinal cord.
