Signs you may need to see a spine specialist

Many Americans suffer from back or some sort of spinal injury every year. Here are some signs that you may need to see a spine specialist:

  • Weakness or numbness in hands, arms, legs, and feet: Tingling and numbness in these body parts can be a sign of a spine issue. These could be caused by a herniated disk or spinal stenosis.
  • Persistent back and/or neck pain: Back and neck pain can be from a spine issue, but it isn’t always. Osteoarthritis and osteoporosis can cause back and neck pain.
  • Spine misalignment: Have you noticed one of your shoulders is a little higher than the other? If so, your spine may be misaligned. Spine misalignment is also known as scoliosis.

If you’ve noticed any of these signs, you should go see a spine specialist even if it ends up being nothing. Contact William Capicotto today at (716) 881-0382.
