Although we make the incisions much smaller than 10 or 20 years ago, modern day, scoliosis surgery is still quite demanding on the patient and the surgeon. This patient underwent a multilevel anterior correction of a significant deformity with an incision on the abdomen below the naval and another incision on the flank. The next step is a posterior fusion with instrumentation and laminectomy most likely into the pelvis. Will keep you posted.#therealdrc716
