Is one of your New Year’s resolutions to travel to Europe? Traveling to Europe is such an amazing experience; however, the back pain that comes with it is not. Here’s how you can prepare your back for a long journey:
- Start Preparing a Couple Days Before: Back pain prevention doesn’t start at the airport. Before you leave, you should start to prepare by doing some gentle walking and stretching, focus on core strength, and try to avoid any new workouts as it could lead to soreness.
- Choose Back-Friendly Clothes and Footwear: What you wear affects your back more than you would think. You should wear clothes that are loose and breathable along with supportive shoes for walking through big terminals.
- Pack and Lift Luggage the Right Way: Improper lifting is a common cause of travel-related back pain. You should distribute weight evenly between your bags and when you go to lift your luggage you should bend at your knees and not your waist.
