2023 is just around the corner which means it’s time for New Year’s resolutions! A common New Year’s resolution is to stop smoking which is extremely harmful for your spine. Smoking restricts your blood vessels cutting off the blood supply to your cells which also leads to your spine receiving less nutrients. If your blood cells don’t get enough oxygen, they will start to die. Quitting smoking helps to stop this from happening which in turn leads to better health for your spine and body in general.
