Supposedly when Michelangelo was asked how he carved the statue of David he said he cut away everything that didn’t look like David! In a similar fashion after we have appropriate targeting, we can deliver drills and other hand tools through the endoscope and carve out almost an inch of bone to free up the nerve roots that are trapped. All through an incision about 1/4 of an inch!!! Now that’s inspirational!
