Remember to practice proper shoveling techniques. When at all possible PUSH the snow aside instead of lifting. If lifting is unavoidable be sure to square your shoulders and hips and avoid turning. Remember to bend at the hips and knees, not the lower back. You should never toss a load, but rather walk over and drop the load. Above all else remember to pace yourself and take breaks as needed to avoid over-exerting yourself.
